Attorney Stacey Holley Valdez is among the one percent of attorneys in Texas to have achieved Board Certification in the practice area of family law. This certification is awarded to only those attorneys who demonstrate significant experience in family law, the highest ethical principles, and a commitment to excellence. In order to maintain board certification, Ms. Valdez participates in regular continuing legal education in family law. Family law is constantly evolving, and Ms. Valdez makes a point of remaining current with all developments in Texas family law, which accrues to the benefit of her clients.
Ms. Valdez has a reputation in the South Texas legal community as a fierce litigator and a tireless advocate for her clients in the courtroom. Her record of success reflects her experience as well as her dedication to her clients and their well-being.
Stacey Valdez graduated in the top twenty percent of her class at the South Texas College of Law, which ranks as one of the top ten law schools in the United States for trial advocacy. She continues to sharpen her courtroom skills in practice, motivated by her desire to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients. Having received excellent mentoring herself, she is also committed to helping shape the careers and training of younger Houston attorneys.
Prior to law school, Ms. Valdez was a nurse, working in a number of challenging, high-pressure environments, including the maximum-security area of the Texas Department of Corrections. Her ability to think on her feet, acting swiftly and decisively, served her as well in those circumstances as it does today in the courtroom and at the negotiation table.
